What we collect

We use your email address or Apple account identifier to sign you in; your chosen name, preferences, completed activities and saved readings to deliver your account; and messages, shared answers, community posts and reports that you choose to submit. Journal reflections are encrypted before storage. These features can contain sensitive personal or religious information; only enter what you are comfortable storing.

The web quiz

Quiz answers, including sensitive reflections about habits and faith and any optional nickname or email, are held only in the current page’s memory to suggest a starting plan. Optional email entry does not send an email or enroll you in marketing. They are not sent to our API, placed in the page address, or stored in browser storage. Leaving or reloading the quiz clears them. The quiz does not create an account or subscription.

Web checkout

If you start a web checkout, we store the email you enter, the plan you chose and a checkout reference so that your purchase can be recognized and unlock the app. Payment is processed by Whop; we never receive your card number. Whop sends us signed notifications about payment and membership status (paid, renewed, canceled, refunded), which we keep to grant and remove access and to answer support requests. Your membership is linked to a DeepGrace account only when you sign in with the same verified email.

What stays on your device

Your optional profile photo, chosen home light, private plan, personal intention, and Screen Time application selections remain on your device. The photo is not uploaded or shown to other people; you can remove it in Edit profile. We do not receive your browsing history, other apps' messages, or the names of applications selected through Screen Time. Private-space content is protected by your device authentication. Notifications use neutral text. If you allow message alerts, we store an encrypted Apple notification device token linked to your signed-in session and your alert preferences. Apple delivers these alerts; message bodies, answers and private history are never included in the notification payload. Signing out stops registration on the device and removes the server registration when the session is revoked. Queued alert records expire after one day.

Sharing and service providers

Each spouse or ally relationship requires acceptance. Your ally sees only messages you send. Couple answers are revealed after both participants answer. A couple share card requires both participants to agree and contains no answers or private history. Your journal and private plan are never shared with these relationships or the community. Community posts are shown under a pseudonym after moderation.

Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat helps verify subscriptions using a pseudonymous account identifier and purchase information. Resend delivers requested sign-in codes. Our hosting provider stores account data. The Word Guide sends the message you type to OpenAI only after separate consent; DeepGrace does not store these conversations and requests that responses not be stored. Provider retention and security policies apply. You can withdraw AI consent in the Guide.

Use and retention

Data is used to operate and secure the service, verify access, and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal information or use advertising identifiers. Account data remains until you delete it. Deleting a journal reflection erases its stored encrypted text. We retain only its identifier, account link, dates and version to prevent an old save request from recreating it; deleting your account also removes these records. Security and support records may be retained where needed to resolve issues or meet legal obligations. Any retained backup copies remain protected and are not returned to active service after deletion.

Your choices

Delete journal entries or community posts in the app, leave relationships, withdraw community or AI consent, and change device permissions in iOS Settings. Delete your account in Profile → Delete account; this removes the account and associated active service records. Cancel Apple subscriptions separately in your Apple account settings. Export your account data in Profile → Export my data, or contact support for a privacy request.
